July 31st - Weldcraft

Today was a great day on the water, no wind, perfect for offshore halibut fishing! Tried a salmon troll in the morning and landed a couple coho. We decided to take advantage of the weather and dropped anchor around 9:30 am. Just three hours later we had 8 halibut! The largest was 87 lbs. Someone is about to have a very full freezer.

Day two with this group and with only one halibut left to catch we concentrated on salmon. The early bite was good, we got our 6 chinook limit, biggest was 25lbs. Couldn't get our halibut trolling so
