July 27th - Kingfisher

Today was fairly lumpy water. The morning had a slow start and we got blown off the anchor. Reset anchor and the halibut bite was slow... Then total chaos!! 4 fish at once then we started catching sharks in between the halibut. It was non stop action for 4 hours. Wind died down with 2 meter swells . To finish the day off, we trolled outer black rock picking up a 15 lb chinook salmon before we headed home.

Total catch: 9 Halibut, 1 Chinook, and a ton of sharks

Not a bad morning commute! When you love your job you never work a day in your life.
